Business process analysis and information systems integration
The goal of business process analysis and optimization is to make an organizations
business process more efficient, customer-friendly, higher in quality, and
better in service reliability. The principal outcome of this optimization
process is higher levels of customer satisfaction.
Business process optimization consists of several steps understanding the local business process, identifying problems, recommending solutions, and implementing systems integration. The work undertaken at each step is guided by client requirements, business reengineering principles, and the availability of modern information technologies. Whenever, we perform this type of work, we always ensure that our client is fully involved in each step. Our major business process contract is the Head Start Family Information System, widely known by the acronym HSFIS. HSFIS is a comprehensive case management information system that Cleverex Systems has developed under an on-going contract with the Head Start Bureau in the Administration for Children Youth and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. To analyze the needs of the extremely diverse community of local Head Start programs and of the national Head Start Bureau, teams of Cleverex Systems analysts hosted and coordinated many meetings with staff from these organizations. After applying our business process analysis techniques, we used modern information technology to implement the HSFIS. Today, over 1,000 local Head Start programs are using HSFIS to manage their programs and deliver services daily to almost 500,000 children and their families. Our business process analysts have years of real-world experience working with clients to identify problems and define solutions. They recognize that to reach the final goal of business process optimization greater customer satisfaction using information technology to implement the solution is actually the last step in the process. All the earlier steps that are undertaken to understand the business process in the client organization and the clients requirements, however, are just as important in defining the final solution.
